American College of Chest Physicians (ACCP)
ACCP meets its mission and vision by providing physicians, researchers, and health-care practitioners with such resources as continuing education courses, products and publications, consensus statements and clinical practice guidelines, representation in government public affairs, and a myriad of other resources.
American Lung Association / American Thoracic Society (ALA/ATS)
The American Thoracic Society is an international professional and scientific society which focuses on respiratory and critical care medicine. The Society's members help prevent and fight respiratory disease through research, education, patient care and advocacy. The American Thoracic Society also serves as the medical section of the American Lung Association and interacts with both national and international organizations that have similar goals.
Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS)
As a service to the public, STS provides information about diseases treated by Thoracic Surgeons, including those of the heart, lungs, and esophagus. The purpose of this site is to provide accurate, up-to-date information regarding the disease processes including causes, symptoms, and diagnosis, as well as the procedures performed by Thoracic Surgeons to treat these diseases.
